The first member of the Fogarty family to emigrate from Ireland, landed in Tasmania in the 1800s. Six generations later, we have returned to our Tasmanian roots and are excited to share with you our newest sparkling wine brand, Thalia.

The vineyards of Tasmania showcase some of the purest expressions of cool-climate fruit in Australia, perfectly suited to produce the high-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir fruit which we use to craft the Thalia sparkling wines. We source fruit from only the most exceptional and pristine vineyards across Tasmania's best winegrowing regions, including the Coal River Valley, Derwent Valley, Tamar Valley and Huon Valley.

The microclimates at each of these vineyards are influenced by steep valley topography, guaranteeing ultimate sun exposure during the daytime and cool maritime air, which makes way for cool temperatures over night. Crucially, this means that the fruit experiences both warm days to ensure steady ripening as well as cool nights to retain vibrant acidity. It is this unique climate that produces the exquisite fruit we use to make Thalia and in turn, allows us to showcase the absolute perfect pairing: Tasmania and sparkling wine.
